Right now, Rachel, the Globaloria Blogger is giving us a lesson on blogging. She is inspiring me to post on this blog which I've not done in a long time. But...to see an example of the blog I have been working on, check out my Greenbrier East High School Band Blog.

Hey Jim! Before I even noticed your note to me, I was so psyched to see your link to this website. It's such a cool way to communicate with your students. The blog element seems limited by the specificity of the website, but it really works as an event calendar/information resource. If you want to engage in larger discussions online about HS band generally, or being a music teacher, I propose you find some blogs from people doing similar work and start commenting on their blogs. They'll follow your link back to your site and check it out. See if they comment on what you're writing...if you can get some conversations generated amongst band teachers/players, it'll start shaping your blog organically. You can say a blog is in the eye of its readers...
Anyway, this is the kind of thing I wish my HS teachers had for me. I'm going to add this to my reader...
