In gaming the term "noob", sometimes written "n00b" is defined as an inexperienced and/or ignorant or unskilled person. This is generally a derogatory name and gives the impression of someone who is a "wannabe", but lacks the skills, motivation, or overall ability to really step up.
In contrast, the nomenclature "newb" is a term used to describe a inexperienced gamer/person/etc. who actually wants to get better and shows the desire and skill to do so.
From what I have seen of our New Educators at this Academy, I am very impressed. They have made so many strides in such a short amount of time.
I rate them 9/10 (I try to never give a perfect score because there is always room for improvement, but I am pretty darn impressed!)
I have a message and a challenge for all new educators: Be the best! There is nothing other than your own motivation, will power, and dedication that will be a deciding factor in your success in this program. Times will be challenging with technological issues, administrative hoops to jump through, etc. But there will also be great rewards, both tangible and intangible, that you will reap by putting your heart into this program.
Best of luck with your first year!

You are always so kind in your remarks about others. That is a rarity in this world. I am sure all the new educators will learn to appreciate your comments as they stretch their limits while learning the Globaloria process. Positive reinforcement does tend to stimulate growth. Thank you!
